We are seeking a Maintenance Department Supervisor to join our dynamic team at All American Poly. In this role, you will oversee departmental operations, ensuring efficiency and quality standards are met while fostering a collaborative environment. Your leadership will be pivotal in driving our mission forward and maintaining our reputation as industry leaders.
PRIMARY PURPOSE: Assist Maintenance Manager in managing the maintenance and engineering department. Acts as Maintenance Manager in his/her absence. Position requires demonstration of competency for all on-the-job activities that may have a direct or indirect effect on product safety, legality and/or quality.

PRINCIPAL ROLES and RESPONSIBILITIES ▪ Promotes Company EEO policies, and other AAP and local work policies ▪ Assists Maintenance Manager in the performance of his/her duties ▪ Performs the duties of Maintenance Manager in his/her absence. ▪ Supervises, trains, and directs maintenance personnel. ▪ Set up and track all maintenance activities, costs, hours, etc. through a computerized tracking system. ▪ Read, understand, interpret and implement schematics and mechanical drawings. ▪ Supervises and engages in installation of equipment, while reducing operating costs by assisting in the negotiation of service contracts. ▪ Direct the preventive maintenance program under GMP guidelines. ▪ Participate in customer audits as required ▪ Supervises and, when necessary, participates in the repair and maintenance of machinery and equipment. ▪ Promotes and maintains good employee relations. ▪ Position is responsible for ensuring staff is fully trained in and operates within the parameters of the facility‘s Security Program with regards to site and product security. ▪ Oversee the purchase, storage, and repair of spare parts ▪ Key Area Leader in the implementation of ISO procedures ▪ Manage the custodial and Sanitation issues in the plant. ▪ Performance of other duties which are deemed by management to be an integral part of the job, including but not limited to fulfillment of work schedules, adherence to attendance policies and other applicable operating rules, policies and procedures. ▪ May be required to perform other duties not listed within the job description .
JOB SPECIFICATIONS - Education and/or on-the-job experience needed ▪ BS Engineering degree or related field or equivalent. ▪ Five to Ten years’ related Maintenance & Engineering experience. ▪ Knowledge of PLC’s, DC motors and drives a plus. ▪ Supervision in a Union environment helpful. ▪ License as required by State, Industry, City, County (boiler, refrigeration, etc.) May be required to possess/maintain a valid license to operate applicable heavy equipment, including forklift.
Industry-specific knowledge, skills & abilities needed: ▪ Demonstrated knowledge in Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning; Refrigeration, Welding, Electronics/Electrical Equipment repair, Industrial Equipment installation, start-up repair, PLC and DC motor and drives etc. ▪ Ability to distinguish color coded equipment. Must be able to hear and identify audible alarm systems. Must be able to hear see and identify normal and abnormal equipment status, monitor equipment operation, see panels, lights controls, etc

WORKING CONDITIONS: ▪ Normal, no adverse or hazardous conditions. ▪ 25% of time spent in Office environment meetings, 75% walking, working in manufacturing or support areas, troubleshooting equipment (includes the ability to tolerate heights on top of equipment and roof). Will be subjected to normal manufacturing noises, odors, and required PPE. Must be in good physical condition. ▪ Minor travel is required. Ability to work flexible hours and holidays. On call via phone at all times (cell phone provided). ▪ Reasonable accommodations will be considered on a case by case basis.
- Working Hours are: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a one hour paid lunch. Benefits are included.
Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor
PRIMARY PURPOSE
▪ Troubleshoots and performs breakdown, preventative and predictive maintenance on all equipment, processes, facilities and buildings. Position requires aptitude in all major maintenance disciplines including mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, servo and electronic systems. Job performance must be in line with all company safety policies.
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
PRINCIPAL ROLES and RESPONSIBILITIES
▪ Performs breakdown Maintenance.
▪ Understands and uses all aspects of the CMMS.
▪ Identify quality issues. Work towards solutions. Product and efficiencies.
▪ Be able to modify, alter or install equipment.
▪ Understand and become proficient in all plant PM’s
▪ Must be able to trouble shoot and repair any maintenance issue pertaining to process equipment
▪ Must understand all normal process operations
▪ Knowledge of PLC’s hardware, operating status and functionality (fault, I/O addressing, power supply, operation indicators).
▪ Strong Industrial Mechanic, Pneumatic, Hydraulic and Electrical.

- This is a 1st shift position working 6:00 am to 6:00 pm. Two week pay period working 36 hrs. the first week and 48 hrs. the second week. Automatic 8 hours of overtime.
